MEASURE YOUR GLUCEMIA HERE!

TODAY is the 14th, and although that date means nothing much in Brazil, here it means ...

Strasbourg is a city of many events. And seven years ago, it decided not to be just the city of birth, the “eurometropolis” city, the crossroads of Europe, the most sustainable and most ‘vegan friendly’ city in France. Nooooo, this is not enough for her. As some fervent Alsatians say here: Alsace is the center of the world. And Strasbourg is the capital.

Seven years ago, Strasbourg decided to fight for the post of the most romantic city in France, perhaps in Europe! And February 14th is the good old Valentine's Day, also known as Valentine's Day. I know you're going to laugh and say, “but how much pretense! As if she has the capacity to beat Paris! ”. It is true and I agree with you. Although I'm in love with Stras, she can't beat Paris. BUT, they work hard, these Alsatians ...

So, they decided to create “Strasbourg mon amour”. Ten days of romantic programs in different parts of the city in order to celebrate love and have the opportunity to show the most different love stories that have passed through the city.

Strasbourg Mon Amour is an ambitious project. Ten days to talk about love (and sell it too). They set up an ephemeral café in the main square of the city, which is only there for the 10 days of programming. It is called “Café des Amours”. It is a very nice cafe, with different schedules and attractions.

The schedules are the most different: from a dip in the outdoor pool of the city, to wine and beer tastings and parties of the most different themes, but always around the romance of that day.
Actually, the schedule is well broad for both couples and singles on call (and here among us, the schedule for singles is cooler!). Unfortunately the site does not have a Portuguese version, but if you want to take a look at the mega event, click here .

Personally, I find many of the events a little tacky. They have the night of the slow dance, a party with only slow music to dance together; there is the love panel, where you can send a message to your loved one in the cinema sign, a photo booth in the middle of the street to take a photo as a couple, among other attractions a little too much for me (Capricorn, right? I loooove a declaration of love in public).

But there it is, another event that brings many passionate tourists (and others not so much) to the city, to celebrate love, be it tacky or not!

À bientôt and, Perdoe o meu Francês 😉
