FULFILLING SOME PROMISES

I'M SORRY ! The blog's first abandonment had a good reason! My sister came to visit me, and we spent 11 days together. We did so many things that when we got home at night, we would roll over in 2 seconds!

Am I excused now? Hope so!

Anyway, this post is more a fulfillment of promise than a novelty… remember that I said in the post that I presented Spaetzle that I would give to everyone who came to visit me“ this carbohydrate affection ”?
Well .
I am a woman of my word.

The only detail that nobody noticed, is that I didn't promise to do it. I promised to offer.
And I did.

We went to a restaurant less than five minutes from my house called “La Corde à Linge”, which literally means “clothesline”. I don't know, don't ask me! The point is that this clothesline makes the best Spaetzles dish in town!

A traditional restaurant located in the Petite France neighborhood, which, despite the photo below, always has many tables (many!) In the square and has a very cozy and friendly atmosphere. Even more than when we went, it was a super nice weather, it wasn't cold, and the sunset left the sky with shades of purple. Too beautiful, my people!

Now I'm going to tell you what we asked for. And my friend, my friend, it was very good! My sister ordered a dish of tomato sauce and parmesan zest, and I ordered lardons (which they say is bacon, but it's better than bacon) and munster sauce. Munster is the cheese made here in the region, I will make a post just about it, but honestly, there is nothing I can write that gives an idea of how good this cheese is ...

Beautiful, right? It's poetry !!
A basic detail that makes the dish even better: they heat the dough in the frying pan until it is crispy and dry and when you bite it even makes a "creck". It's poetry, I tell you !!

I don't even need to say that my sister fell in love (and rightly so), and even when I bought the industrialized dough and made it at home, only with butter, she loved it too!

The spaetzle dishes in this restaurant are reasonably priced (let's consider that we are talking about France, everything here is expensive). The most expensive costs 13 euros. The restaurant also makes other dishes, salads, hamburgers and snacks. The price varies with the dish, obviously. But in general, the price is very democratic.

The restaurant is on Place Benjamin Zix, here in Strasbourg and you can take a look at here . And no, I'm not getting paid for that merchan, but I should be. I would happily accept payment in homemade Spaetzles !!

Got upset? Did you feel like it? Me too, I can't afford it or eat it every day! But come and visit me and I'll take you with great pleasure!

À bientôt e, Perde o meu Francês!
