TWO STEPS

LISTEN: one of these days I realized that I was missing an AMAZING opportunity to be happy with little. It made me (a little) upset, but it didn't hurt me and I decided to run after lost time.

Tartine.
Do you know it?
Have you tried it?

I'm sure that most of you will call me crazy and exaggerated, and that everyone eats like that and blablablá… but as this blog is also about opening your head and trying new things, I will share with you my experience.

- What is tartine?
It's the French way of saying toast.
- And what about it?
I'll explain: you toast a piece of bread (French bread, but here we call it baguette no matter the size, Italian bread is also very good!), let it stay at that crunchy level. Then, being careful not to burn yourself, you take this bread, and take two strides. A good streak of butter, and then, when it is melting, another streak of jam on top. JAM!

And then you eat it. The end.

The French make this tartine daily, it is like our “coffee with milk and bread and butter”. The first time I dared to do this was at my aunt's house, with a blueberry jam. My life changed. Then I ate with apricot jam and my aunt gave me an immense jar of peach jam. I eat every day, it became my new breakfast.

The biggest thing about all this is that I was never a friend of jam. I always thought it was very sweet, very gooey and the name doesn't appeal at all. Prejudice prejudice prejudice.

If you have never tried this combination, I invite you to try it! I can't help having my life improved and not sharing it with anyone ...

Here they have some variations ... honey, nutella, oats ... but the base is always butter! I confess that I am hesitating to eat butter and honey… but I will try, after all, you only live once!
